Noah's Ark

Always see this structure when passing Guadalupe Bridge on my way to Makati. Have a chance to take closer look at the structure recently and take a shot at it. I don't know if this is still a working refinery or its already abandoned building.

Some stuff in the house

This are the picture of some old/antique stuff in my parents house. We can call it antique since most of this stuff dated way back since I was a Kid so thats over 30 years ago.

I thought in shooting this stuff in Black and White to give justification on its age.

From what used to be a view all along Roxas Blvd then somebody begin dumping land fill in the water so the view only stretches from US Embassy to Manila Yacht Club. Hope this kilometer stretch of great view will remain for years to come.

Car Audio seen only in the Philippines

Shot from the FX I was riding yesterday. They used the CD Rom drive from a Computer as part of the Car Audio system. I've seen Discman being used in Cars (used one myself) as there are Car kits being sold in the market. But I never seen a CD rom drive used in Cars basically they are for desktop pc. If I'm not mistaken this are the internal type.Another Filipino ingenuity.(Sorry for the blur pic hard to shoot in a shaky moving vehicle)

I ask myself what are the stuff or things we keep that last for a longtime.Of course there are things that we keep for a longtime (like our houses, appliances etc) but how bout little things that were just surprise after a long time it still exist.
For me this pencil is one of them. I have this pencil with me for over 20 years. I remember I got this pencil when I was in first year college way back 1985 (wow long time).This pencil survive 6 years in college (I did most of my plates using this pencil). 14 years of work experience (which is 10 companies-including 3 years of work overseas). 5 Philippine presidents. It outlast 2 computers, 6 Cellphones, 4 PDAs2 Cameras, 2 Video players and 3 Television Sets. It practically oulast almost all of my stuff I can probably think of.
Well to this day I'm using this pencil as you can see on the pictures (It survive a lot of battles).
Heres for another 20 years hehehe.

Last Dec 26 to Dec 30 2005. The 2005 Pyro Olympics was held at the Esplanade in Pasay City. Were 10 Countries (I think) showcase their 30 minute fireworks display Luckily for me the event was held just in front of our office. I was able to sneak out during my break so I can watch the show and take some photos.

Since I work on a night shift I wasn't able to go to the event site itself to get a good vantage point. so I have to content myself in my position at the office parking lot.
Heres what I got.

Teletech Christmas Party

Last Sunday December 18 2005 was our Company's Christmas party. Of course I was again the chosen one to shoot the event. It was a fun task partying and shooting then drinking at the same time. Well the booze overflow and there were lots of dancing people. I manage to squeeze in the middle of the dance floor to shoot some guys and babes having fun.

Trees

I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Cock Fighting

Last weekend I was treated to a new experience, "Cock Fighting". We'll my brother in Law brought me to Cock Fighting Arena in Taal, Batangas. It was my first time to enter one. The atmosphere inside is what you can say chaotic because of the shouting. Its only there where you can see two total strangers closing a bet with just a wave of a hand and wink of an eyebrow.
Of course to feel the excitement of the game I enter a bet of few hundred bucks which luckily I won.
Well because of the crowd I could not go closer to the fighting ring to take a shot of the action. So I manage to shoot few shootof the incident happening inside (most the crowd there don't want to have their picture taken). So here what I got.
